COMPANY HISTORY

Tania's Table has a fairly unique story behind it's creation, Chef Tania's explains the story behind her successful catering and restaurant company:

"Back in 1987 I entered a Kalhua baking contest where you had to use their liqueur to make a new and exciting cake. There were over 500 entries and I won first prize! I decided to put the money I received  it into good use so I went to Ecole Lenotre just outside of Paris for a month, to learn from their world famous chefs.

Upon my return I applied to Mark's Place where I worked as a pastry chef and at various other restaurants as well. Alongside my work I began to teach cooking classes and soon enough everyone knew my name and connected it to good honest home-cooked food. I began catering full-time from my home in 1997, catering for friends and dinner parties throughout South Florida. It was fantastic, my passion was coming together with my business, it was the perfect combination.

In January 2005, a storefront opened up in North Miami Beach and I grabbed it. Tania's Table was born! It was a perfect location with all of our best clientele and closest friends within a 10 mile radius. I continued to work on my catering side of the business but it soon became apparent that when clients arrived to pick up their food, they wanted to stay and eat. Soon we had expanded into our restaurant operation and created the charming open-kitchen location we have today. Visit us and see what we mean!

Our clients are all local to us, but we like to welcome new friends from far afield. As word spreads about our home-cooked international flavors and foods, we are finding that people are driving from miles around to join us for lunch at Tania's Table. We have people stop in from corporate offices, ladies who have been out shopping at the mall, families looking for a fresh and healthy lunch, even folks who just stop in for one of our delicious signature deserts.
